Our club secretary retires.

Sue, our trusty secretary for close to 15 years, retired at the end of 2011. She will be sadly missed as she has been a valued & hard working member of our club. Sue not only acted as secretary & treasurer, she was also mum to 3 calisthenics girls and has always been involved in all aspects of club life. She passes the baton to Jenny, another long term club member with 2 calisthenics daughters. No doubt Jenny will do a fantastic job also.

Kylie's new arrival.

All of us at MCC would like to congratulate our Sub-Junior coach Kylie on the safe arrival of baby Zac, born on December 9th 2011. Mum Kylie, dad Paul and baby Zac are all doing well. Kylie will be retiring from coaching to concetrate on her family, and we wish her all the best.

New Intermediates coach.

Long term club member Helen has recently qualified as a level 1 coach and is excited to be filling the gap left by Kylie's retirement. The club wishes her well as she starts her coaching journey and we look forward to seeing her and her team learn, grow and succeed.

Melton calisthenics celebrates 35 years

Melton Calisthenics Club celebrated its 35th year in 2010, concluding with the annual concert and presentation of awards on November 14th. The girls performed all their competition items as well as a whole-club special item, and a number of additional items just for the concert.

Everyone at the club congratulated club founder and coach Lesley, who has been coaching for the entire time, seeing many of the students grow up from little girls into beautiful young women. Without Lesley's commitment, dedication and hours of work the club would not be what it is today.

Annual Rose Award - times 9!

Each year, a girl who has shown tremendous commitment and dedication is chosen to receive the Rose Award, in memory of the club's pianist Rose, who played for us for many years.

In 2010, nine Rose Awards were given out, one for each senior girl by their very proud coach Elyse.
