Melton Calisthenics Club

Fun, fitness and friendship

for all ages!

Calisthenics – Australia’s own unique artistic sport

Does your child like to sing, dance, dress up and perform?

Calisthenics is an artistic sport unique to Australia, and is a great alternative to dancing. Calisthenics offers routines choreographed to music and performed on stage in costumes. Pupils learn several routines in their weekly class. These can incorporate modern dance, singing, acting, exercises with and without apparatus, marching, simplified ballet, and modified gymnastic movements. Calisthenics truly has something for everyone!

Calisthenics offers many benefits to the participant: core strength, flexibility, confidence, rhythm, music appreciation, friendship, fun, co-ordination, grace, improved memory –  the list is endless!

Melton Calisthenics Club is a friendly non-profit club established in the 1970s. We are always looking for new members of all ages, ranging from our Tinies who are 3+, up to our Masters class for those aged 26+. The first class is free, so come along and join in the fun!

We always welcome new pupils, from age 3 to 63+!

An important message from Calisthenics Victoria regarding competitions.

- The decision has been made to hold 1 competition (CV State Titles) later in this year. At this stage, October - December. Please be aware that all rescheduled events are contingent upon the lifting of the current restrictions around non-essential sporting activities and mass gatherings.

- CV has taken into consideration the length of time that we may spend away from physical classes, and have altered the suite of items accordingly for each age group.

- All CV registrations must be paid. If these are not paid, your child is not covered by insurance for any online classes they participate in.

- We encourage all of our members to continue practicing and joining online classes to ensure we are ready to compete later in the year.

- Please don't hesitate to contact your coach with any questions you have.

Is it wise to still run the older age classes instead of younger? I would assume with schools remaining open but workplaces closing it would be the opposite.. just a thought as it is more a risk of transmission between adults

Oh that's so sad for the kids... X

That’s devastating but thank you for keeping all of us informed!

Are seniors included in the Inters and Masters category?
